Last Saturday I ran the Provo City 5k with my friend Lynsey. There was a storm front over the Wasatch so the temp was only 40 degrees that morning. At times it was raining, hailing and snowing during the race route. Someone on the Fast Running Blog encouraged me a few weeks ago to enter a race and see how I "stack up" against competition. So I did.
I came in 21 of 381! I was the 4th female through the finish line and medaled 2nd place in my age group (30-34). I was so happy. My time was 20:43. I registered for run13's next race which is on memorial day. This time I am really going to try and do that 5k in 20 minutes or less. I think I can do it. Lynsey did awesome as well. She was 32 of 381 and came in 3rd in our age group- yes, we both medaled!

You're so cool. :)
Oh my gosh... that is SO awesome! That cracks me up when I compare it to my walking time of like 42 or 43 minutes! ha ha ha ha!!!!
Nice job ladies!!
Way to go! I guess at least if you had to run in the crappy conditions it was a worthwhile run!
